“Who’s that?” I ask. Evan glances briefly over his shoulder.

“Ah, Tatiana. Nathan’s girlfriend.” He turns back to me, a ruminative glass up to his lips. “I’ll go say hi to her later.”

“Nathan has a girlfriend?”

Evan nods, setting his glass on a coaster. “Yup. Think they’ve been dating… a year, maybe? She doesn’t watch the show.”

“Our demographic is mostly boys, isn’t it?”

“True. That might change soon.”

Evan places his hand on top of mine on the bar counter. The cool cherrywood against my palm, coupled with his heat against my painted nails, excite me.
